Progress

1. Progress is defined as positive improvements made in a certain amount of time.

2. 1890-1920 was known as the progressive era. Began as social movement to political movement. Problems could have been solved by providing good education, and good work spaces.

3. Progressive reforms liked to make the problems known not really solve them.

4. Essential goals: Fighting corporate greed, womens rights, strengthening govrnment
Good goals: Conservation of environment, rail road regulations
Not a good idea: Prohibition
